So- one of my favorite bands, MAE (The band who's show I went to and got pics with last post) is doing a really sweet project this year. They're coming out with a song a month and the songs are available for purchase on their website here.

The really sweet part is that 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of these 12 songs will go to habitat for humanity. They are helping to build and fund a home for a single mother and her three kids!! They're also looking into other charities to help out. You need to listen to their new songs. A Melody, The Memory and Day/Night are my favorites right now. I think it's awesome that MAE is doing something for the community. It's doubly better because their music is actually good. It's like buying Tom's shoes- you get cool shoes and your helping others! I think you should check out their music, any of it. Old, new-it's ALL good.

Mae is currently touring right now with three other bands. Tokyo, Barcelona, and Person L. Check em out!

Lindsay's way of persuading you to check out mae:
1) They rocked out the show on Saturday! Best live band I've ever seen. Thats a pretty huge deal cause playing live is a difficult task. I've seen some bands that sound good on their CD's but suck live and its a bummer.. Mae was sensational.
2) They're super nice and always come out after their shows to talk and get pictures. They even shared snacks with Ashley and I! o haha..
3) If you go to their website, you'll see that they are making a huge impact on others to make a difference in their community; and ultimately to make the world a better place.
4) They're music is.. um, well you should just listen to my playlist here on the blog. Once you've listened you'll realize that they're music is fantastic. NOW-check them out on itunes and whatismae.com. Buy the songs, help habitat for humanity, enjoy their music, be inspired.

DO IT.

**correction. my favorite song right now is The House That Fire Built.
